Job Summary and Qualifications

About the Burn Unit

• Our small cohesive staff with a focus on quality patient care and outcomes.

• Opportunity to care for a specialized patient population in a supportive and educational setting

What you will do in this role:

• Perform medical record reviews to examine and assess provider documentation and to ensure patient severity of illness and health acuity is accurately reflected

• Perform prospective, concurrent and retrospective review of various types of patient medical records from multiple settings.

• The Clinical Reviewer assessments also provide guidance for ongoing provider coaching, training and facilitation. Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

• Reviews, amends and submits data for the ABA Burn Repository and compliance for Burn Center Verification.

• Other duties as needed related to the Burn Center data requirements.

What qualifications you will need:

• Registered Nurse

• Associate Degree

• 3 years of hospital experience required, experience in Quality a plus!

• Knowledge of spreadsheets including pivot tables, graphing and basic statistics; knowledge of PowerPoint; knowledge of Quality Improvement methodology and team facilitation
