Founded in 1998 Propio Language Services provides critical interpreting and translation services that improve the quality of life with the communities we engage in. We do that by providing both remote and onsite services in more than 300 languages, for over 6,000 clients with a diverse and highly experienced staff, and over 5,000 contract interpreters. Quality interpretation is critical to our shared success, and it is only possible by bringing in the best interpreters in the industry.
We have an immediate need for a Contract Certified ASL Interpreter in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide interpretation virtually via video remote
Precisely and accurately interprets critical information given by Propio’s clients into pre-determined target language(s)
Complies with applicable ethics and standards.
Interprets in a timely and accurate manner for the consumer/family members in a wide variety of settings
Establishes and maintains quality service and positive interaction with all patients, customers, visitors, health care providers, and clinical employees.
Maintains strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA and/or regulatory requirements or policies and standards.
Participates, as a condition of hire, in continuing annual educational programs by Propio
Completion of daily activity logs and other documentation.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, to include mandatory overtime dependent upon business need.
Perform evaluations and meet quality specifications, as requested, and outlined by the Quality Assurance Department

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
State and/or Nationally ASL certified
Intermediate level computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of relevant interpreting experience
Medical and/or legal interpreting experience
Soft Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication
Outstanding customer service and professional behavior
Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
Ability to work both independently and within a team to meet deadlines.
Fluency in relevant language(s).
