Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Stationary Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will spend most of your time in the powerhouse, reading meters, and diagnosing problems. Your responsibilities will include opening and closing valves, understanding steam pressure, mixing and adding chemicals to machinery, and operating and maintaining various systems and equipment. You will also be expected to complete all Preventative Maintenance on all Powerhouse and associated equipment.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of operating experience

• Familiarity with Cleaver Brooks machinery/equipment

• Steam-generating boilers, air compressors, chillers, pumps, gearboxes

• Shift flexibility

Work Environment

The environment can be wet and/or humid with moving mechanical equipment and can be loud at times. The culture is a union environment that can be high stress at times. Workers in this group are self-sufficient and quick learners. The team size is 12-15 total, including 2 Mechanics and 8 Stationary Engineers. The dress code is jeans and a polo.
