Electric Distribution Engineer

Actalent Engineering is seeking an Electrical Distribution Engineer to join a utility team in Kansas City, KS to oversee engineering design, field engineering, mapping, drafting, and the utility's GIS. This is a long-term opportunity with health and employee benefits and entails working in office Monday- Friday.

We are seeking an experienced Electric Distribution Engineer to lead our electric distribution engineering team. You will direct the planning, design, and installation of electric transmission and distribution facilities. Additionally, you will submit capital improvement budget proposals by forecasting and prioritizing system needs, establishing project scope, and estimating project costs and schedules. You will also oversee mapping, drafting, and GIS personnel to ensure accurate system maps, drawings, and other records. This position requires managing the implementation of policies and ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Southwest Power Pool Transmission System Regulatory matters. As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for applicable North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards, you will play a crucial role during compliance audits.
