Travel will be required, 3 to 4 weeks at a time. Technicians will be fitted with a company vehicle after training which will come within the first couple of weeks. Since travel is required candidates must meet company standards in relation to driving record.

This position will travel the KS and surrounding areas. Candidates need to sit in KC or the surrounding area. Will travel 3 weeks at a time.

This is a FULL TIME, Contract to hire position with the availability to go perm after 90 days.

Description:

TEKsystems is accepting applications for CCTV / Alarm Service Technicians for installation and services project work at various retail locations in the Kansas City Metro region.

We seek self-motivated and reliable technicians for service and special installation projects, who can work independently and find solutions to complete the job. The preferred candidate will have strong knowledge of various CCTV systems, and structured cabling methods and standards. The candidate needs to have a working knowledge of cameras. DVR/NVR configurations is a big plus.

Looking for a motivated self-starter who can work independently and find solutions to get jobs done.

Candidates MUST be able to adapt to different layouts and environments, ALL will be different. Techs will be doing the cabling and system installations and troubleshooting as needed.

Responsibilities

• State wide travel

• Company vehicle option

• Must be able to operate a boom and scissor lift up to 60 feet comfortably

• Must be able to climb structure up to 60 feet with a tower climbing harness setup (proper equipment use training provided)

• Must be able to terminate cat6 jacks and RJ45 tips

• Must be able to mount and troubleshoot network cameras
