Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

All activities related to the testing and validation of an PV/Battery-storage connected inverters. Includes Performance Services, Performance tests. Major contribution to the development of an operational year plan for own department activities of the team. Works together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues.

  • Conduct extensive Realtime simulations using Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and Software -In-the-Loop (SIL)

  • Carryout the testing of newly developed control algorithms or modified control algorithms on functional mock-ups and prototypes

  • Carry out data analysis with inverters’ data coming from various customer sites.

  • Work with other teams including hardware and software developers.

  • Scheduling and coordinating work to tight deadlines.

  • Creating and carrying out test procedures

  • Improve the efficiency of the engineering process, through development and use of standard engineering solutions for projects.

  • Ensuring site safety norms

  • Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer's sites

  • Investigating technical problems, diagnosing/repairing faults & Service support

  • To Implement Automatic test system to reduce the Manufacturing Testing cycle times

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master of Technology/Engineering (B.Tech or BE ,M.Tech. or M.E.) in Power Electronics/Control Systems

  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience

  • PLC, SCADA, HMI Interfacing and Automation

  • Communication network skills – EGD/Modbus/Ethernet

  • Good Knowledge on Advanced Drives & Control and Industrial Automation

  • Experience of hardware debug tools, debug experience using oscilloscopes & logic analyzers and willingness to work in test labs & Customer sites.

  • Fluent in English language

Desired Characteristics

  • Good communication skills (spoken and written)

  • Excellent reporting and good personal organizational skills

  • Design and development knowledge in renewables applications preferred.

  • Desire to work on all aspects of product development including hardware & software.

  • Experience with system level validation testing

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment to plan and deliver well documented solutions on time.

  • Willing to work in Factory Environments
