We currently have an opportunity for a Finish Dozer Operator to join our construction team . This job will travel to locations in Western Montana on a regular basis. Higher wages will apply on Davis-Bacon jobs.
Key Functions
Build and level terrain and excavate land surfaces, using various pieces of construction equipment
Follow site grading and operations plans, read grade stakes and operate in a medium to fine grade environment
Subgrade prep experience
Understanding and reading blueprints
Ability to excavate trenches with proper slopes per OSHA
Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members
Ability to work well with others and take direction to complete daily tasks and meet project goals.
Daily Maintenance and Inspection of Equipment and tools
Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment.
Perform other duties as necessary as assigned by Superintendent or Foreman
May be required to travel when necessary
Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) years of industry related experience is required with an emphasis on roads and highways
Must have GPS experience
Specific Skills

Ability to communicate and interact both verbally and written
A keen eye to details and good decision-making skills
Manage to handle emergency situations, work pressure and stress

Must be able to work various shifts, days and overtime as needed
Must be able to work out of town
Physical Requirements
Capable of lifting 25 to 50 lbs. regularly
Move safely, quickly, and perform duties with repetitious movement
Sit and/or stand for long periods of time
Reach with hands and arms
Bend at the waist, kneel, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull
Climb ladders/steps
Continuous use of hands and fine manipulation
Walk varying distances and on uneven ground at times
Must be able to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, and vibrations
Compensation
Hourly rate of pay $28 to $34 an hour based on experience.
