We are seeking a PART-TIME Accounts Payable Specialist to become a part of our construction/contractor team in Kalamazoo, Michigan. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including the accurate and efficient processing of invoices and billings and managing change orders. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately entering data of daily invoices

• Processing and managing billings and invoices

• Identifying and rectifying change orders with appropriate guidance

• Executing various accounting tasks as assigned

• Utilizing SAGE 300 software for various operations

• Employing Microsoft Excel for tracking and team collaboration

• Handling accounting entries and cost allocation in the construction industry

• Managing change requests effectively

• Leveraging prior experience in the construction industry for accounting tasks.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable Specialist role or similar

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Familiarity with Sage 300 software

• Experience with billing and invoice processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge of the construction industry

• Experience in construction accounting

• Ability to manage change requests efficiently

• Experience in recording accounting entries

• Familiarity with cost allocation practices in a construction/contractor environment.
