* WHAT YOU'LL DO:*

*PRIMARY FUNCTION: *

The Director of Grant Management is considered a subject matter expert on grant accounting, tracking, compliance and reporting.  This position is responsible for SEFA, Single Audit, and related financial statements and acts as a liaison to Program Directors and Managers relative to their grants and funding sources. In this role, the Director of Grand Management oversees accounting processes under the direction of the Vice President of Finance.    Additionally, this position implements the YWCA's Mission, Purpose and One Imperative.

 *QUALIFICATIONS:  *

  1. Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.in accounting or finance or equivalent) required. Master's degree in Accounting preferred.    
  2. Must pass criminal, child abuse and neglect, and sex offender background checks.
  3. Ten years of industry-related experience including five years in management and five years in a nonprofit setting is required. 
  4. Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, grant administration and budget development.
  5. Acute attention to detail.
  6. Exceptional customer service skills
  7. Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  8. Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry. 
  9. Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
  10. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.  
  11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to translate financial information to non-financially trained staff.
  12. Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
  13. Demonstrated ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and with all levels of management.
  14. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  15. Advanced proficiency in Excel and Accounting Software required.  Experience with non-profit Accounting Systems preferred.

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains staff in the department.
