Position Specific Description
Manager, Decarbonization and Sustainability (Energy Industry)
We are seeking for a highly motivated, client-facing leader with experience in oil and gas (upstream, and/or midstream, and /or downstream) interested in a career on energy technology, decarbonization, and sustainable energy. The ideal candidate will have a mix of Oil and Gas experience along with experience in at least one of the following disciplines energy efficiency and optimization, low carbon fuels, renewable energy, or distributed generation.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze, summarize, and present data related to decarbonization of the O&G industry across players, regions, and sectors (Upstream, Midstream, Downstream).
Manage Oil and Gas client engagements focused on sustainable energy and decarbonization, including areas of abatement, technologies, and operations. Support the team’s effort to develop decarbonization roadmaps for customers based on needs, technology maturity and NextEra’s current offerings
Identify gaps on products offering and propose partnerships or investments as needed to supplement NextEra’s portfolio
Manage resources and establish relationship across disciplines both inside the company and in the Oil and Gas industry across sectors and organizations
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in the oil and gas sector with experience in ESG, Sustainability, or (e.g., renewable energy development, energy analysis, ESG consulting, corporate governance, or investor relations)
Project Management experience in the energy industry
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and data analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or other graduate degree in related field

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with sales teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions
Support technical discussions and solution design throughout the sales process in order to progress/close deals and build customer relationships
Deliver product demonstrations, technical education, and proof of concepts
Provide input on proposals and draft scope of work
Maintain an understanding of the customer’s industry, including industry trends, industry business processes
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
