Job Description
Oracle’s Cloud Performance team insures our public cloud products achieve the highest level of Performance,
Scalability, Reliability (PSR) and High-availability. The Cloud Performance (PSR) Team is an elite engineering group
that owns the performance of Oracle’s current services as well as the new public cloud offerings in IaaS, PaaS and
SaaS. The PSR Engineering team is engaged in a wide range of development, performance optimizations and
measurement activities across all aspects of the software development life cycle in order to exceed customers’
expectations and drive customer’s success.
As an PSR performance engineer in the Database performance area, you will be a leading contributor in improving
performance of Oracle’s latest Cloud Services Technologies. You will take an active role in the definition and evolution
of standard practices and procedures. Additionally, you will be responsible for defining and developing software for
tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems. If you

You will work is a non-routine environment solving various challenging performance issues associated with compute
and distributed big data services. Cloud Engineering teams will not only rely on your technical leadership to help
resolve issues but also look to you to provide comprehensive approaches and solutions to unique problems. You will be
an individual contributor and team member/player that provides both technical direction and mentorship to others.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

10+ years of software engineering or related experience
Knowledge of Cloud Technologies
Knowledge of Enterprise software suites
Extensive knowledge of SQL
Knowledge of Oracle Database administration and architecture
Strong Architectural concepts around Cloud Computing and base software Development
Experience with load testing tools, profiling tools and regression testing.
Career Level - IC5
Responsibilities
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
