Robert Half Payroll/HR Manager in Jonesboro, Arkansas

Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll/HR Manager to join our team in Jonesboro, Arkansas. As a Payroll/HR Manager, you will be responsible for handling the daily functions of the human resource department including staff hiring, pay, benefits, leave administration, and enforcement of company policies and practices. This role involves both supervising others and completing personal tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the HR department

• Administer and execute various human resource programs including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance, talent management, productivity, recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development

• Address employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff

• Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications

• Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and implement policies and practices to maintain this compliance

• Stay abreast of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law

• Supervise the entire HR Department

• Use Microsoft Office Suite or related software proficiently and learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems swiftly. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Payroll/HR Manager role or similar position.

• Proficient with ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now.

• Knowledgeable about ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode.

• Familiarity with Ceridian, Crystal Reports, and About Time systems.

• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration and Accounting Functions.

• Skilled in Auditing, Benefit Functions, and bi-Monthly Payroll.

• Experience with Benefits Payroll and Payroll - Union.

• Knowledgeable about HRIS - Human Resources Info Systems.

• Experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration and Human Resources Management System.

• Proficient with HR Payroll System and Full Cycle Payroll.

• Familiarity with Payroll - 101 - 500 Employees, Payroll - In-House, and Payroll - Garnishments.

• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
