The team you will be a part of

The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.

This role in summary

In this role the engineer will work on development of thermal models for electronic components / modules. This work will be done in close collaboration with Hardware engineers. The engineer in this role will provide thermal simulation analysis of the proposed designs, and support the development and delivery of robust electronic components. This position will be located in Joinville , Santa Catarina on a 4 days on site work arrangement.

Your responsibilities will include

Develop high-fidelity simulation models in collaboration with hardware engineers to identify key thermal impact features.

Set up and instrument lab tests to generate the necessary data for model validation (as needed).

Plan and execute structured experiments to gather test data.

Analyze simulation results and validate findings with test data.

Create reduced-order models based on high-fidelity simulations.

Document simulation analyses and effectively communicate insights to relevant stakeholders.

Support FMEA analysis using simulation tools.

Participate in technical review meetings and tollgate discussions.

Engage in internal technical forums to share and learn about current best practices in simulation.

Minimum requirements

Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering

Experience in using high fidelity thermal simulation tools such as Ansys Fluent and Ansys IcePak

Fluent in English (Required to hold meetings in English)

Preferred skills and experiences

Advanced degree (MBA, Specialization) in Mechanical or Chemical engineering

Experience in simulation of electronic components

Experience in use of simulation tools such as Dymola, MapleSim, Matlab/Simulink

Experience with root cause analysis such as FMEA / 5 Why, Pareto, Ishikawa,
