U.S. Army Forces Command Management and Program Analyst in Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington

Summary About the Position: as a Management and Program Analyst is located at I CORPS Senior CDR AUG G-3 OPS, Joint Base Lewis-McCord, WA. Position may be filled as a Term appointment NTE 13 Months. Term appointments may be extended beyond six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years. Responsibilities Coordinate and analyze requirements to develop coordinated plans for the local receipt, issue, training, logistical and maintenance support. Coordinate the review of draft planning documents ensuring I Corps and subordinate unit requirements and capabilities are adequately addressed. Monitor Army Modernization developments and ensure that new equipment fielding processes and systems compliments that of the Corps’ higher headquarters. Identify and resolve discrepancies between governing plans and documentation. Review and evaluate published requirements documentation then develop additional guidance to subordinates and staffs. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Managing force integration programs by developing procedures and guidance; 2) Planning, evaluating, and coordinating logistics programs, policies, regulations, and operating procedures; AND 3) Analyzing and developing recommendations for improvement in program operations and objectives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Information Management Operations Support Project Management Technical Problem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. This is a TERM position NTE 13 Months. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights or entitlement based on active military service, recovery from a compensable injury, or return rights based on an overseas tour.
