The Receptionist is responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the workspace and reception while they greet clients, receive calls, determine the nature of business and direct callers to the appropriate office personnel. Other key responsibilities include performing assigned clerical duties such as filing, copying, and replenishing office supplies. Must maintain confidentiality of information and exercise discretion when providing information.
Essential Responsibilities
To ensure that all communications are received and forwarded to appropriate personnel, the Receptionist will:
Operate centralized telephone control panel; using a professional and friendly greetings.
Take and forward messages and other communications to all staff, ensuring messages taken are complete and accurate.
Receive and greet, assist and direct all visitors; maintaining a professional demeanor.
To ensure the front desk is operating efficiently, generating a professional atmosphere and that all other assigned clerical duties are performed timely and proficiently the Receptionist:
Files all student records.
Assists with Student Information Systems.
Maintains inventory of office and student supplies.
Stays current on Pressley Ridge policies and procedures while maintaining a proper work environment that meets state and federal regulations.
Completes any other clerical duties as assigned by administration.
Essential Qualifications
Education/Credentials/Licensure:
High School diploma or GED
Associates degree is preferred.
Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
Clearances: State Police, FBI, and Child Abuse Clearances; CPSL Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training per state regulation.
Working Conditions
Physical Demands. This position requires a low to moderate level of physical activity. Sitting for long periods of time. Employee must meet minimum requirements for Hearing, Speech and Vision. Hearing; not applicable for the School for the Deaf.
Environmental. School & Community; Office
Working Hours. As assigned or agreed upon by the Program Director.
