Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Manufacturing Support Team member (Level 2) in Johnstown, PA. This provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, supporting production, quality, and process improvement initiatives in a team-based environment.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Support Manufacturing Operations – Assist in production planning, quality management, material management, and process improvements.

Ensure Production Efficiency – Monitor daily status of nonconformances and coordinate resolutions with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.

Collaborate with Teams – Work with a unionized hourly workforce to maintain production schedules, cost efficiency, and quality standards.

Contribute to Process Improvement – Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Utilize Manufacturing Tools – Work with Microsoft Office Suite, quality data systems (QADS), and manufacturing tracking tools.

Who You Are

Eager to Learn – You have a basic knowledge of manufacturing principles, quality standards, cost efficiency, and scheduling.

Detail-Oriented & Analytical – You can troubleshoot production issues and work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.

Team Player – You are comfortable working in a unionized workforce environment, coordinating tasks, and communicating effectively across teams.

Adaptable & Driven – You are willing to take on responsibilities and challenges in a fast-paced production setting.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience in F-16 assembly production and tooling.

• Knowledge of manufacturing principles, quality control, cost management, &/or production scheduling.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, equivalent experience, or military background.

• Ability to work overtime as needed.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Familiarity with quality data systems (QADS).

• F-16 production experience or high-volume manufacturing experience.

• Experience working with a workforce under a Collective Bargaining Agreement.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for coordinating across multiple teams.

• Knowledge of LM Six Sigma principles and experience with Lean Manufacturing.

• Ability to work independently, analyze data, and present findings effectively.

• Demonstrated commitment to safety and process improvement.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
