MACHINING TECHNICIAN

Key Responsibilities:

• The potential candidate shall be proficient in all aspects of CNC machining and part inspection.
• The applicant must be capable of making own set-ups on simple easy to machine parts to single one-of-a-kind complex prototypes on a variety of materials.

• This person must be willing to learn and be capable of providing technical and operational assistance to others within CTC.

   

Basic Qualifications:

• The candidate must have 2-5 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/machining environment.

   

Physical and Mental Demands:

• Regularly or frequently sitting, talking, hearing, grasping, touching, walking, reaching with hands/arms and performing repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movements.
• Sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds of force. May be required to lift to 50 pounds.
• Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less to type documents, read and use a computer.
• Concentrated attention to proofread documents, create spreadsheets, etc. and application of principles of logical thinking and reasoning to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

• Apply reasoning to solve practical problems and to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.

   

Work Environment:

• Moderate to loud noise level if an assignment is conducted in High Bay area.
• Indoor temperature-controlled environment.

• Safe working environment where PPE is required and provided.
