Civil Designer / Engineer
H.F. Lenz Company is currently seeking a Civil Designer / Engineer in Johnstown, PA to support the engineering and design for various civil site development projects from conceptual drawings to construction documents. This role will utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to create existing conditions backgrounds and 3D surfaces from survey points, aerial mapping and reference drawings. Projects will include commercial, industrial, public works, historic, healthcare and educational facilities.

Lenz Company offers a full range of engineering services for private and public buildings and facilities. Our high-profile projects span the nation, with the heaviest concentration in the Northeast.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design site development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D in accordance with client standards.
Conduct surveys, reports, maps and other materials to identify best approach in developing and completing projects on time and within budget.
Research and review deeds, ordinances, field notes, municipal, state and federal codes to ensure compliance.
Collaborate with project engineers and design staff to address challenges and plan revisions.
Travel to project sites and perform land surveying tasks, as required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
0-5 years’ of civil engineering experience or combination of education and experience.
Experienced in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Experienced in Land Development, Civil Design, surveying and site lay-out.
Experience with hydrologic / hydraulic modeling programs.
Ability to travel to local project sites and conduct site surveys as required.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Ability to meet project deadlines and provide outstanding service to clients.
Ability to work in and foster a team environment with minimal supervision.
