Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager supporting Varietal Crops. This position is in integral part of the Supply Chain Team accountable for the development and coordination of asset scheduling and rough-cut capacity planning for varietal crops. This position is responsible for master scheduling for production sites, coordination of inventory movements, direct material planning, system and product accuracy, timelines to meet commercial demand, quality and characterization, surplus and discard inventory management. Key timelines must be met to ensure commercial areas have accurate supply visibility throughout the sales season to drive sales effectiveness while meeting customer expectations. Working across multiple supply chain functional areas is critical to be a reliable supplier and managing inventories throughout the sales season to optimize inventories while reducing financial risk, scheduling, quality characterization, inventory management, allocations, and distribution activities. This role has responsibility for is alignment between distribution and production plans to meet sales channel distribution timing and service level commitments.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee end to end supply chain processes ensuring that business needs are met, optimal supplies are planned, and customer experience is fulfilled.

  • Lead development and execution of plans that encompass demand plans, supply plans and production-location specific growing/sourcing plans at a product level emphasis on 1 and 2 years of planning cycle across varietal crops.

  • Provide oversight of scheduling processes: monitors overall goals, established rough cut capacity plan while minimizing costs while maintaining or improving service levels.

  • Make recommendations related to technical or professional solutions that would significantly improve business performance. Ensuring that customer needs are served and balancing with business cost perspectives.

  • Develop innovative solutions by integrating and analyzing complex and diverse information sources. Finalizing dashboards that are customized for each stakeholder using acronyms tailored to audience (Commercial, Finance, Research and Development, etc..)

  • Develop medium- or long-term work schedules that enable the organization to achieve its business goals. Involves coordinating across multiple teams. Responsible for planning and oversight of Master and Detailed Production Schedule, Direct Materials Planning, Inventory Reconciliation, and creation of rough-cut capacity plans.

  • Determine product usage based on quality results and Coordinate and implement steps with marginal batches and drive timely decisions. Coordinate inventory management strategy which entails surplus and discard inventory decisions.

  • Identify and communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the business area or department; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision and values; motivate and empower people to achieve successful achievement. Ensure morale and career development are satisfactory for overall organizational health.

  • Manage and report on performance in area of responsibility; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports, achieve role clarity and hold team accountable for achieving objectives; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.

  • Provide direction, delegate, and remove obstacles to complete work efficiently.

  • Build strong-identity teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.

  • Develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

  • Build strong customer relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions.

Qualifications

What Skills You Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Ag Business, Business, Supply Chain Management, or equiv. field required.

  • 5-10 years of experience with progressively increasing responsibilities; supervising experience preferred.

  • Strong general business competencies; strong analytical aptitude; ability to take complex information and summarize it in a meaningful way; ability to work effectively cross functionally and across diverse stakeholder groups

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent leadership skills; innovative thinking; solid information management skills

  • Applied knowledge of database and spreadsheet applications; cost and capacity analysis; network optimization; applied statistics; general agricultural business background

  • Ability to utilize resources effectively throughout the organization
