Kelly Services Customer Support Representative in Johnston, Iowa

Shift Information:

The Contact Center operates from 7 am - 7 pm CST, Monday to Friday. There are four shifts available within this 12-hour operation:

  • 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

  • 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

  • 9:00 am - 5:30 pm

  • 10:30 am - 7:00 pm

Candidates must be available to work any 8-hour shift within the 7 am - 7 pm support window. The role requires on-site presence at John Deere Financial in Johnston, IA, five days a week, with an option to work from home on Fridays.

Employment Nature:

This is strictly a contingent position with no expectation to transition into full-time employment. Contingents can seek full-time opportunities within John Deere and monitor positions through the John Deere careers page.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the John Deere e-Commerce Contact Center.

  • Handle inbound calls from customers and dealers in USA, Canada, and Australia regarding part orders or other items available for purchase on Shop.Deere.com.

  • Make occasional outbound calls to customers and dealers for research, investigation, and follow-up.

  • Document every interaction effectively in the internal case management system.

  • Handle approximately 15-20 calls per day.

Special Considerations:

  • Training and mentoring occur during the 8:00 am - 4:30 pm shift and last approximately 6 weeks.

  • It takes about 3-4 months from the start date to reach full productivity.

  • Limited travel to nearby Des Moines Works for a factory tour and Jensen Farms approximately twice a year. Transportation will be with a Deere full-time employee.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Experience in a Call Center.

  • At least 6 months of customer service/support experience.

  • Efficient researching and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to speak with confidence.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

  • Willingness to work occasional overtime and holidays.

  • Solid work history and proven dependability.

  • Reliable home internet and a distraction-free workplace.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of agriculture, turf equipment (mowers), and utility vehicles.

  • Previous work experience in Agriculture or Technology dealer channels.

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, Engineering related field, IT, or a similar discipline.

Other Information:

This position offers:

  • A retention bonus after 6, 12, and 18 months of employment.

  • Pay increases based on 6, 12, and 18 months of employment.

Note: Retention bonuses and pay increases are forfeited if assignments are not completed or are ended early, subject to review.
