$135,440.00 Minimum Starting Base Pay* + KPI Bonuses + Competitive Benefits
*Qualifications may warrant greater starting base pay within the full pay range. Individual base pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
Position Summary
Manages the business support activities for PEC’s Transmission business, including leading the transmission strategic plan, coordinating and monitoring transmission budget performance, identifying and leading process improvement initiatives, and coordinating training and development activities for the transmission business unit.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Leads the development of transmission strategic goals and plans in collaboration with business unit leadership and stakeholders
Assists with developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPI) to measure the effectiveness of the transmission business and business processes
Reports on strategic goals performance
Monitors and reports on transmission business performance budgets, including O&M and CIP budget performance
Coordinate capital plan performance forecasting (in collaboration with Finance, Planning & Engineering, and Project Management)
Organize transmission business information (processes, procedures, standards, dashboards, SharePoint sites, etc.) in order to operate effectively as a cohesive operating business
Identify and lead implementation of transmission business process improvements
Partners with business unit management and stakeholders to assess current training needs and identify training opportunities, coordinates training across transmission departments
Manage Transmission business unit training budget and approval process
Collaborates closely with Human Resources to ensure strategic alignment with PEC-wide initiatives and activities

Leads activities and future development of performance within the business unit, including employee development and training, process planning and work productivity
Oversees and works with third party vendors
Maintain the security of confidential information
Stay abreast of advances in technology
Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

A full range of supervisory activities, training, evaluation, counseling, and recommendation for termination. This includes, but is not limited to, effectively communicating organizational policies and other information to subordinates, ensuring that employees have a clear understanding of their responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of budgeting and cost management
Knowledge of business and management principles
Knowledge of the electric utility industry
Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership skills and budgeting
Skilled in communicating effectively with all levels of management
Skilled in planning, scheduling, prioritizing and coordinating work within assigned work area
Skilled in monitoring and managing performance
Skilled in establishing and communicating performance expectations and metrics
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to balance and manage competing high priority work demands
Ability to use computer systems and applications
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Minimum Qualifications - (Education, Experience)
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, management, engineering, communications, education, or equivalent
Ten years of related work experience, including three years of supervisory experience.
A degree(s) in business administration or relevant field may substitute for certain years of experience
Valid Texas Driver’s License
