Job Description

Discover Impactful Work:

The Senior Testing Engineer is responsible for supporting R&D prototype, alpha, beta, pre-pilot, pilot unit builds, and other related tasks as the need arises to support NPD and sustaining engineering projects. This includes electrical and refrigeration system solving, instrumenting units with thermocouples, transducers and data acquisition systems, conducting testing, etc.

A day in the Life:

• Instrumentation of prototype units, systems, and fixtures.

• Conduct product evaluation testing and fixing at system, subsystem, and component level per ETPs (Engineering Test Procedures).

• Help conduct and setup agency tests e.g. UL, CE, CSA etc.

• Automation of processes including data acquisition, data reporting, and testing procedures.

• Work closely with engineering and production team members to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely execution of required prototyping, fabrication and testing work.

• Electrical wiring of prototype systems, building electrical test fixtures and conducting electrical tests.

• Responsible for maintaining, organizing, and managing inventory of tools, equipment, and materials to ensure availability and readiness for use.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in electrical/electronics technologies.

• Experience with ULT/refrigerator manufacturing and fixing processes.

• Experience with lab testing equipment and systems.

• Strong computer skills (MS Office and testing software).

• Experience with PLC’s.

• High levels of self-discipline, drive, and a proven ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.

• Willingness and ability to work with issues on factory floor and have proven experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

• Proven ability to work on multiple tasks concomitantly (Multitasking).

• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and product change controls.

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Educational Qualifications:

• AS or higher in the related fields
