JPMorgan Chase Business Enablement and Transformation - Lead Technical Program Manager in Jersey City, New Jersey

As a Lead Technical Program Manager in Global Technology, Business Enablement and Transformation team, you will manage the strategic programs and business operations required to shape the foundational structures that enable our organization to deliver world class products across the firm. Your strong analytical reasoning and adaptability skills will enable you to navigate through ambiguity and change, ensuring that technology initiatives align with business goals. With advanced communication and stakeholder management abilities, you will foster productive working relationships and influence decision-making to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. In this role, you will partner with our Leadership Team, Product Owners, and Technologists around the world to establish and manage best in class strategic programs.

Core & Foundational Platforms (CFP) is part of the Infrastructure Platforms organization, responsible for delivering and maintaining an industry-leading technology infrastructure to JPMorgan's Global Technology Group. CFP's mission is to provide seamless integrated solutions across clouds with a consistent, and intuitive user experience. We deliver market-leading multi-cloud technology capabilities centered around developers and business requirements, consumable as "OneCloud". Job responsibilities

  • Develop an enterprise level view of technology and business processes.

  • Identify and mitigate risks, proactively addressing potential roadblocks and implementing contingency plans to maintain project and program momentum

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and business stakeholders, to define program scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with overall business goals

  • Partner with the Portfolio Leader, balancing ideas and operational strategies, provide wide ranging perspectives, and sharing direct feedback

  • Collaborate with Non-technical program management, corporate function partnership (primarily HR, Finance & Business Management), and preparing necessary communications into the organization

  • Utilize advanced analytical reasoning to assess program performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implement data-driven optimizations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

  • Champion the adoption of agile methodologies and technical solutions, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team

  • Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders to develop and implement initiatives to drive program/process optimization and organizational efficiency. This includes efforts such as top-level management of autonomous employees, managers of small teams, hybrid work policy, % of leadership staff, DEI, attrition, and location strategy. This service requires understanding of policy, data trends, thought leadership, and partnering for resolution

  • Ensure the Leader is effectively prepared for sessions / internal processes that require additional due diligence and preparation. This requires topic ownership, challenging peers, and effective storytelling.

  • Prepare and deliver data-driven recommendations and supporting materials to support executive and key stakeholder decisions.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a large organization

  • Strong in Resource Management; Technological, Organizational and/or Operational Change Management; Portfolio Management; Conflict Resolution; Negotiation; Risk and Controls; and Partnership and Influence

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate and work with senior leaders

  • Experience taking complex and ambiguous information and refining it into meaningful content and clear action plans

  • Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills (e.g., identifying trends, patterns, and root cause analysis using a diverse toolkit to address the root cause)

  • Ability to establish and build strong relationships and partnerships across cross-functional teams

  • Ability to influence, organize, and direct people across various seniorities, teams, and departments

  • Commitment to diversity, ethical, accountable, and transparent leadership

  • Strong data analysis and presentation skills with proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Jira and Confluence experience is a plus
