Citigroup SVP Transaction Capture Group Manager - Hybrid in Jersey City, New Jersey

The Operations Transaction Capture Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for managing multiple teams through other managers, in coordination with the Transaction Capture team s . The overall objective of this role is to oversee the end results, budgeting, planning and implementation of the functional strategy including clean audits, supervision and adherence to risk and controls standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytic and administrative support to Front Office Product, Sales and Trading on derivatives and securities transactions incl. Depositary Receipts

  • Support transaction capture management, Front to Back reconciliation, operational risk identification, trade confirmation and settlement forecasts

  • Manage a large operational function, lead change-the-bank projects, and oversee planning, the budget, and policy formation

  • Define problems proactively, and resolve escalated issues and/or offer advanced solutions, and streamline operational processes

  • Ensure integrity of processes, operations and end results, implementing and managing a successful risk/control environment

  • Manage compliance efforts, and follow regulatory policies and procedures, and contribute to defining standards

  • Advise and coach new or junior level staff on procedures, ensure annual reviews are completed on schedule and work processes across multiple departments

  • Serve as analytical and/or procedural expert representing an operations unit or team on cross functional processes or project deliverables

  • Ensure reconciliation breaks are within acceptable aged threshold risk levels and proper escalation process are followed at all times

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a related role within Operations, or Client Services with focus on large scale execution of trades, wires, enquiries and transformation topics to improve client and staff experience

  • Robust commercial awareness to support the business and understands compliance, controls and regulations

  • Subject Matter Expert in multiple or specific skill sets, business areas or products including Agency and Trust and Depositary Receipts as preferred but is not mandatory

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment and partner across front to back operational functions incl. risks

  • Ability to be a player-coach and balance the two roles, when necessary to meet performance standards

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$149,600.00 - $224,400.00
