Grow your career as a Senior Java Developer with an innovative global bank in Jersey City, NJ. Contract role with strong possibility of extension. Will require working a hybrid schedule 3 days onsite per week.

Contract Duration: 12+ Months

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in Application Development.

• Knowledge of various streaming frameworks.

• Familiarity with challenges that arise when implementing real time performant systems.

• Experience with system analysis and in programming of software applications, especially as it pertains to performance and testability of components.

• Familiarity with corporate bond products and associated pricing and risk calculations.

• Experience working on a mature development in a large collaborative environment as well as coming up with ideas that challenge current practices.

• Demonstrated leadership skills.

Technology Skills:

• Experience with Java ecosystem.

• Expert in Java development. Strong design and programming skills in Java.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and best DevOps practices.

• Exposure to profiling, debugging and monitoring tools.

• Ambition to learn aspects of systems supporting pricing and risk systems.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience in Front Office technology, knowledge on Credit pricing systems.

• Familiarity with Kafka.

What You Will Be Doing

• Collaborate with the team to understand functional and operational requirements.

• Lead designs and implementation of robust and testable code in support of the requirements.

• Develop certain non-functional features in the system to improve reliability, scalability and performance.

• Contribute to the design and implementation of automated test suites.

• Participate in code reviews helping other team members improve their code.
