Job Description

The National Sales Trainer, Sales Training – Psychiatry, is responsible for facilitating training programs across all phases of training, and developing, maintaining, and implementing training content and programs. This position reports to the Associate Director of Sales Training - Psychiatry.

Contributions to the Psychiatry sales team’s success is achieved through proactively partnering with key stakeholders across various departments, including the sales training team, marketing, sales leadership, and enterprise training teams, to create and implement training materials and programs. These materials and programs address identified field sales needs, support key marketing initiatives, enhance product knowledge, improve overall selling skills, and support the ongoing developmental needs of the Psychiatry sales team.

Main Areas of Responsibilities

  • Facilitate all Psychiatry training classes, Insights Discovery, and RD/DM meetings in both live and virtual environments.

  • Mentor, coach, and develop newly hired sales representatives during the new representative training program.

  • Participate in, and at times lead, the design, development, and implementation of training programs and NSM workshops.

  • Partner with key stakeholders, including sales training team, marketing team, and field sales leaders, to ensure training content is relevant for all training needs across all phases of training.

  • Participate in, and at times lead, submission of training materials through the Medical/Legal/Regulatory/Compliance process to ensure all materials are up to date, reflect current strategic imperatives, and are approved.

  • Manage agendas and learning curriculum within digital learning platforms in partnership with the training team, digital learning team, and Psychiatry Training Associate Director to ensure agendas, content, and curriculum within digital platforms are current for all training classes.

  • Consistently assess training and development needs of the sales force through developing and maintaining relationships with sales leadership. Develop training resources relevant to those needs to ensure the long-term development of the Psychiatry sales team.

  • Build and leverage connections with enterprise training colleagues to enhance the department and enterprise-wide training programs.

  • Travel requirements for the role consist of periodic travel for department-related meeting participation and RD/DM and NSM facilitation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.

  • Minimum of 5 years pharmaceutical industry sales experience.

  • Strong clinical expertise in Psychiatry preferred.

  • Top performance in current role is required (top 50% salesforce performance sustained over time; top 25% preferred) with current supervisor recommendation.

  • Experience in presenting and facilitating to groups of various sizes and tenure.

  • Experience with successful project development, management, and execution.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
