JPMorgan Chase Multinational Corporations Payments Sales Manager - Executive Director in Jersey City, New Jersey

Join the Payments Sales team! As a key leader on the team, you will drive the end-to-end client experience.

As a Payments Sales Manager (PSM) within the Multinational Corporations (MNC) team, you will be primarily responsible for managing the corridor strategy to acquire and grow new and existing relationships. You are expected to manage the associated PSMs assigned to corridor to help grow portfolio revenue and achieve new business sales goals through effective account planning, strong relationships and implementation of sophisticated selling strategies.

The Payments Sales Multinational Corporations (MNC) team manages overall relationships with North American subsidiaries of large corporations headquartered outside the United States. We help our clients meet their objectives and challenges in financing, risk management, working capital, cash management, trade services (including structure trade finance and liquidity investments). Clients benefit from dedicated coverage provided by experienced industry-focused Corporate Bankers and Payments Sales Managers, who deliver the firm's extensive product platform and presence around the world.

Job responsibilities:

  • Manage the team covering APAC headquartered companies operating in North America

  • Deepening and growing existing market relationships

  • Working in partnership with bankers to develop new profitable business from prospective clients

  • Engage JPMorgan Payments Solutions, bankers and clients at senior and strategic levels to provide integrated treasury solutions within a consultative and client driven framework

  • Partner with internal product stakeholders when representing the client perspective in the development/evolution of complex products and solutions

  • Understand clients' business goals, environments, strategies, and industry trends to better determine their requirements and identify potential new business opportunities for JP Morgan Treasury Services via appropriate solution(s); traditional cash management, trade, International, liquidity and commercial card

  • Understand the competitions' capabilities and gaps, and how to position JP Morgan Treasury Services

  • Manage client visitation and contact; promoting sales through frequent client meetings and discussions covering new products, market and industry developments

  • Manage proposal writing and the entire sales process including both competitive RFIs/RFPs

  • Develop and enhance in-depth client knowledge and share it with the client coverage team for both new business development and management of client risk

  • Work closely with the coverage team to drive efforts to expand existing business with current clients, providing feedback to product managers and generating cross-sell opportunities by maintaining strong working relationships with other JP Morgan lines of business; partner with Treasury Sales Associates (sales support), Client Service, and Implementation to retain, grow, and enhance existing client relationships

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • 10+ years of cash management, sales and relationship management experience

  • Possesses knowledge and understanding of Treasury Services products

  • Ability to manage effectively multi-region and cross-cultural matrixed deal teams

  • Competence in assessing new opportunities/prospecting, contacting key decision makers

  • Strong account planning and demonstrated execution

  • Strong creative solution and problem solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent influencing and negotiation skills

  • Proven ability to build and develop relationships

  • Superb attention to detail and time management skills

  • Understanding of Compliance and KYC processes

  • Effective collaboration, relationship-building and interpersonal skills

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) - Certified Treasury Professional Designation
