The Position

Organon is recruiting for a student to join the Global Procurement and Supplier Management (GPSM) department by June 1, 2025, for approximately 10-12 weeks. The role will be based in Jersey City, NJ or Plymouth Meeting, PA.

The Business Technology (BT) Procurement team within GPSM is responsible for managing the procurement of technology-related products and services, ensuring cost-effective and efficient solutions that support the company's business objectives.

Learning Outcomes

• Understanding of procurement processes and strategies in a business technology context.

• Hands-on experience with supplier management and contract negotiations.

• Skills in data analysis and reporting related to procurement activities.

• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in IT procurement.

• Enhanced communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the procurement of IT products and services, including software and IT services.

• Support supplier selection and evaluation processes.

• Participate in contract negotiations and management.

• Conduct market research and analysis to support procurement decisions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of procurement activities with business needs.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

• Current student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Familiarity with procurement or supply chain processes and principles.

• Excited about learning and applying new technologies and procurement strategies.

• Excellent English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
