The Position
Are you looking for an internship where you are free to take initiative? Would you like to experience working in a company that aims for a better and healthier every day for every woman?
Organon is recruiting for a student to join the Global Procurement and Supplier Management (GPSM) department by June 1, 2025, for approximately 10-12 weeks. The role will be based in Jersey City, NJ or Plymouth Meeting, PA.
The Business Technology (BT) Procurement team within GPSM is responsible for managing the procurement of technology-related products and services, ensuring cost-effective and efficient solutions that support the company's business objectives.
Learning Outcomes
Understanding of procurement processes and strategies in a business technology context.
Hands-on experience with supplier management and contract negotiations.
Skills in data analysis and reporting related to procurement activities.
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in IT procurement.
Enhanced communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
Assist in the procurement of IT products and services, including software and IT services.
Support supplier selection and evaluation processes.
Participate in contract negotiations and management.
Conduct market research and analysis to support procurement decisions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of procurement activities with business needs.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
Current student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Familiarity with procurement or supply chain processes and principles.
Excited about learning and applying new technologies and procurement strategies.
Excellent English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
