JPMorgan Chase Full Stack .Net Software Development Engineer in Jersey City, New Jersey

SPG Technology group supports the firms market leading Securitized products business with more than $5B in annual revenue. We are looking for a hands on application development lead to build out new pre-trade functionality for our business with focus on automating trade activity, enhancing pre-trade analytics and providing our external clients with a better digital experience.

The ideal candidate should have experience leading full stack application development and managing a team of engineers. The candidate must be comfortable communicating with both business and technologists of varying seniority. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail is a prerequisite for this position.

Financial front office experience and knowledge of fixed income products is desired but not necessary.

The role provides an opportunity to learn about Securitized products trading business and contribute towards the digitalization of trading activity to help grow the business and help the firm better service its institutional clients.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

  • Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines

  • Advanced knowledge of architecture, design across all systems

  • Work on building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications.

  • Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages and Agile best practices.

  • Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices

  • Keen understanding of financial control and budget management

  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture

Technical Qualification:

  • 4+ years of experience leading engineering teams

  • 8+ years of experience on ASP.Net, C# and .Net Core

  • 8+ years of experience on SQL and PL/SQL

Desired skills:

  • Fixed Income front office experience working with Trading, Sales, Research etc.

  • Experience in building applications in public cloud like AWS

  • Experience in UI technology like React JS

  • Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills, proactive, self-motivated and flexible with a positive winning attitude

  • Excellent team-working skills, efficient at multi-tasking and be able to work under pressure to deliver multiple business demands on-time, to a high-level standard

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Project management skills
