The Facilities Success Manager is charged with delivering exceptional customer service to our teachers and students in the areas of cleaning and custodial services through amazing team leadership and training. The FSM will create a strong sense of mission oriented team in the custodial department. The FSM will train custodians and create and monitor effective daily schedules for each custodian. This is a player/coach role that will lead by example as well as strong management.
Reports to: Director of Operations
Works Closely with: Security team, Maintenance team
Supervises: Custodians; Evening cleaning company
Requirements
Requirements:
3 years of school or medical custodial experience preferred.
Proven track record of excellence in team management and team training
Strong management and organizational skills
Strong commitment to excellence in customer service
Able to use email, Microsoft Word, Excel, and conduct online research
Detailed, organized and able to keep accurate records
Strong oral and interpersonal skills required.
Understanding of Right to Know laws and standard school cleaning protocols a plus.
Able to speak english and Spanish
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the BelovED school facilities
Manages custodial staff
Maintains floors and hallways
Ensures compliance by custodial staff with all cleaning standards and schedules
Monitors custodial supply inventory and submit requisition orders as inventory levels are depleted.
Supervises event set-ups and post event clean-up
Perform snow removal and salting duties at entrance ways along with maintenance staff.
Assist with safety drills, evacuations and emergencies as needed.
Complete custodial reports and cleaning reports as assigned
Help with security as needed
Provide support to the Director of Operations in the overall management of the school facilities
Work with the maintenance team to create and execute a plan for cleaning, painting, and waxing floors over the summer recess.
Support the maintenance team as requested.
Manage the ticketing system for the custodian//maintenance team
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Inter-relate in a professional manner with students, faculty, administration and community patrons.
Carry and answer radio at all times on school grounds.
Submit information and data as requested.
Regularly monitor school email for pertinent communication.
Attend meetings as scheduled by supervisors and school administrators.
Complete paperwork as requested.
Complete training courses as assigned.
Able to use machinery such as snow machines, floor machines, lift, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or G.E.D.
Able to pass DOE criminal background check
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or legal resident alien status required
Ability to perform the essential job functions
Effective interpersonal skills
Effective grooming skills
Ability to lift 55 pounds to shoulder height occasionally
Ability to push / pull a minimum of 20 pounds frequently
