Organon & Co. Associate Director, Clinical/Medical Affairs Business System Oversight) in Jersey City, New Jersey
Reporting to the Executive Director of R&D Business Systems Clinical/Medical Affairs, the Associate Director Clinical/Medical Affairs Business Systems Oversight is accountable for providing operations of business systems established for clinical and medical affairs.
This role is accountable for ensuring clinical and medical affairs systems are fully supporting all phases of product development and lifecycle management for organon products. This role drives strategic activities for clinical and medical affairs business system capabilities in alignment with the Executive Director of Research & Development (R&D) Business Systems Clinical/Medical Affairs. This role collaborates with the many stakeholders and users of the clinical and medical affairs capabilities to plan and execute the operational business system activities.
This position will report to the Executive Director of Clinical/Medical Affairs Business Systems Oversight within Innovation & Information Management within Strategic Operations in the Research and Development organization of Organon & Co.

The Associate Director of Clinical and Medical Affairs Business System Oversight is accountable and responsible for the following activities:
Operates the business system capabilities of the clinical and medical affairs organization, partnering with external parties (i.e CROs) and other internal R&D functions where appropriate.
Leads projects and initiatives supportingthe long-term vision and strategy for clinical and medical affairs businesssystems, helping to drive business outcomes.
Provides industry expertise and practical knowledge of current and emerging technologies and processes approaches within clinical and medical affairs.
Influences leaders to see new opportunities for enhanced clinical and medical affairs business system capabilities.
Proactively identifies new capabilities and enhancements that will improve clinical and medical affairs operations.
Represents the strategic operations organization at both internal and external forums on clinical and medical affairs business system capabilities.
Ensure high ethical standards and a culture that values honesty, integrity, and transparency.
Qualification, Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a business, scientific, or operational discipline relevant to the life sciences and/or operations areas is required
5+ years of leading clinical and/or medical affairs businesssystem capabilities within a research and development organization
3+ years of experience in a regulated research and development environment, preferably in clinical and/or medical affairs
Must have proven track record to be able to think critically, strategically, independently and problem solve
Must have a high level of motivation, drive, and demonstration of Organon leadership values
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to write clearly and concisely
Top-notch interpersonal skills in difficult situations
Driver of change and innovation
Demonstrated experience in mapping process flows and identifying process improvements
Ability to work seamlessly with all levels of personnel
Demonstrated sensitivity and knowledge of cultural differences with experience in multi-country, multi-cultural environments and demonstrated success with cross-geographically based cultural collaborations
Excellent SharePoint and Excel skills
Qualification, Skills & Experience
- Veeva experience; Veeva Vault and/or Veeva CRM, Medical Information systems including IRMS, Analytics tools for Reporting
