Express Care Position Info:

  • As a part of the Optum network, American Health Network is seeking a part time NP/PA to join a large Group Practice offering Express Care Service at our New Albany, IN clinic

  • Join a large practice of seasoned providers, including PCPs and Hospitalists, working parallel to one another

  • Part Time with flexibility in Scheduling

  • Clinic Hours 8A-8P, Mon-Fri and 8A-4P, Weekends

  • Full licensed medical team; Primary Care and support staff

  • On Site X-ray and Lab

  • Average Express Care volume: 30-60 per day total for all Express Care providers

We see patients with health concerns of all kinds, including:

  • A wide range of acute medical symptoms

  • Minor burns and rashes

  • Diarrhea and vomiting

  • Animal and insect bites

  • Allergies

  • Ear and eye infections

  • Coughs, colds, and sore throats

  • Flu and fevers

  • Vaccinations, excluding COVID-19

  • Cuts and serious wounds

  • Splinting

  • Suturing

  • Sinus infections and bronchitis

  • Simple fractures (broken bones), sprains and strains

  • Managing infection and wound care

  • Sports physicals

Required Qualifications:

  • Unrestricted licensure in the state of (Indiana) or application in process

  • Board Certified in Family Medicine

  • Active and unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain prior to start

  • Clinical experience working as a provider in an emergency medicine or urgent care setting
