Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in Jeffersonville, Indiana

Description We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions for our diverse team. This role involves maintaining compliance with HR, Labor, Benefit, and Payroll laws, providing support and education to management and staff, and managing recruitment and hiring processes.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with current Employer, HR, Labor, Benefit, and Payroll laws and ethics

• Provide HR/benefit support and education to management, staff, and families

• Maintain and update all Personnel/HR records according to state and federal regulations

• Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism at all times

• Manage HR documents and updates on the internal website

• Facilitate FMLA/STD/LTD processes, providing education and support to employees

• Develop and implement all aspects of the recruitment and hiring process

• Establish new contacts and develop relationships with universities and employment resources

• Oversee job postings, applicant screening, and new hire recommendations

• Coordinate initial training schedules for new hires and conduct orientations

• Manage benefit deductions and ensure correct amounts through payroll

• Work with Insurance Brokers to find the best insurance plans available

• Facilitate open enrollment for all benefit plans with all locations and staff

• Oversee all benefit invoices and billing, resolving any issues and ensuring accuracy

• Conduct exit interviews with voluntary terminations

• Process terminations, including handling Cobra/benefits, payouts of accrued time, and returning of company property

• Coordinate and maintain uniform program and policies for employees. Requirements • Proven experience in a Human Resources managerial role

• Proficient understanding of Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration

• Thorough knowledge of Compliance within an HR setting

• Strong ability to manage Employee Relations

• Solid understanding and experience with FLMA (Family and Medical Leave Act)

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals

• Familiarity with HR software and HR metrics

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality

• Relevant certification or degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
