JOB SUMMARY

The General Laborer will complete a variety of duties and be expected to maintain a clean working environment throughout the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform clean-up and light maintenance duties as directed including sweeping and cleaning production areas.

  • Drive and operate the floor scrubber.

  • Clean and grind components to ensure they are free from overlap, overspray, grease, and ready component for shipment.

  • Hang and remove parts from paint line via crane.

  • Deburr parts as needed.

  • Operate and drive forklift, pallet jack, or maintenance cart as required into building from station to station and out of building.

  • Move parts carts by hand or with forklift.

  • Assist with rustproofing components as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or evaluated equivalent of experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to take verbal instructions and read written procedures and blueprints.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Physical Demands: Frequent Hearing, Talking, Visual, Standing, Walking/Running, Driving, Manual Dexterity; Upper Extremity Repetitive Motion. Occasional Sitting, Reaching, Bending/Kneeling, Lifting/Carrying up to 35lbs., Pushing/Pulling up to 50lbs. Seldom Climbing, Typing, Fine Dexterity.

  • Non-Physical Demands: Occasional Analysis/Reasoning, Math/Mental Computation, and Reading. Seldom Communication/Interpretation and Writing.

  • Environmental Demands: Frequent Work Alone and Task Changes. Occasional Tedious/Exacting Work, Dust, Temperature Extremes, and Loud Noises. Seldom Toxic Substances (i.e., solvents, pesticides, etc.).

  • Work Schedule: Routine shift hours. Infrequent overtime, weekend, or shift rotation.

  • Demands/Deadlines: Little or no stress created by work, employees, or public.
