Thermo Fisher Scientific’s ETO IT Division Center of Excellence is looking for a Software Quality Assurance Lead Engineer to work on product data management, CRM, and web applications. The individual should be able to do software development and be comfortable performing QA/Verification testing duties depending on the project’s needs. The ability to communicate optimally and work proactively in a diverse environment with senior leadership, software developers, and business people and a keen curiosity about data analysis, programming and fundamental project management is paramount to success in this role.

What will you do

Hands on testing in functional, Integration and regression testing for the monthly releases of quality & manufacturing systems in a highly GxP Compliant for OpenText, Oracle PLM and eDMS systems.

• Lead and drive quality management projects for our ThermoFisher product life cycle management instances in a fast-paced agile environment to address software system inadequacies to achieve continual quality improvement objectives

• Hands on testing in functional, Integration and regression testing for the monthly releases of quality & manufacturing systems in a highly GxP Compliant OpenText eDMS systems

• Develop test model and orchestration to speed up test execution using test automation framework such as Selenium or Tricentis TOSCA or equivalent tools

• Implement application lifecycle management including, requirements management, test planning and execution, defects tracking and reporting, test automation and results analysis.

• Create Dashboard and the KPI customizations for SDLC metrics reporting for the test coverage, test release status, etc.

• Develop test plan and test strategy and efficient documentation for ThermoFisher electronic document management systems instances for our ThermoFisher internal clients.

• Lead user acceptance testing and coordinate with both business and technical teams globally

Education:

Bachelor’s /master’s degree in computer science / Information technology

Qualification/Experience

• 5 years of Software quality testing in validated environment and hands-on experience in developing and maintaining functional, regression suites

• Comprehensive understanding about different agile frameworks such as Scrum, SAFe and Kanban

• 3 + years of automation and manual testing experience in OpenText document management system or equivalent applications in a validated environment

• Strong integration and data quality testing experience with enterprise applications such as document management systems and product life cycle management.

• 3+ years of experience in Selenium or Tricentis TOSCA and W eb services testing

• Experience SOAP and REST based service and experience in test management tools such as X-ray, HP ALM or equivalent

• Proven track record with test automation coverage and demonstration of test automation benefits

• Ability to work with diverse and global teams and work in a Global matrix organization

• Business user training, product or conduct feature demo during agile ceremonies

• Knowledge of AI (i.e ChatGPT) in SDLC

• Expert-level Knowledge of HP ALM and JIRA
