About Us

We have a 77 room Holiday Inn Express in the small southern town of Jasper, IN where our major industries focus on hospitality furniture and wood working. Our gently rolling hills are located 1.5 hours from Louisville, KY and 2 hours south of Indianapolis, IN. The majority of our team members have been with the hotel 2 or more years, which speaks to the dedication they have to providing a great guest experience. We are looking for the right individual who can help implement and train in Brand Standards and motivate and foster positive relationships between the staff and guests. This individual will be trained in all areas of hotel management and oversee operations in the absence of the General Manager.

Your day to day

Our guests’ memorable experiences have to start somewhere. So why not with you? We’re looking for a new Assistant General Manager to take ownership of delivering exceptional first impressions – managing everything from registration and reservations to housekeeping and breakfast.

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

● Managing and coaching your front office and housekeeping team to deliver memorable guest experiences and the warmest of welcomes

● Engaging with guests to build personal relationships and remedy any complaints

● Conducting regular front office inspections to ensure we’re making the right first impression

● Helping to prepare budgets and finding new ways to drive revenue from walk-ins and up-selling at the front desk

● Training team members on procedures and taking the lead during an emergency or crisis

● Reporting into the General Manager you’ll manage a team of front desk employees across several specialisms.

What we need from you

● Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Management/ Business Administration

● 2 years of Front Office/Guest Service experience including management experience

● Must speak fluent English

● Other languages preferred
