A CDL Class A local truck driving position is available in the Jasper area. In addition to having a current Class A CDL license, other job requirements include:

• Review of the candidate'sMVR record
• Background check
• One year of commercial driving experience
• Compliance with all company policies and rules of the road
• Use of defensive driving skills
• Good driving record to be maintained

Duties include:

• Driving a truck to transport rental equipment and tools to and from customer locations
• Safely navigating customer locations and job sites
• Keeping truck, tools and equipment in good working order with preventive maintenance per manufacturers maintenance schedule and pre- and post-trip inspections
• Building positive relationships and providingexcellent customer service
• Conducting duties professionally with customers and co-workers
• Handling customer inquiries and requests in a timely manner
• Remaining in communication with the branch and affected customers regarding any delivery or pick up issue or delays
• Handling minor repairs on delivered units
• Completing all DOT-required logs
• Complying with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations and Hours-of-Service regulations
• Reporting needed maintenance to the branch manager
• Following all safety guidelines

When not driving, the person in this position will be doing light service work and other assigned duties. The starting pay rate is $23/hour. There is no education level required. The minimum age is 21 due to insurance requirements. Benefits include accrued paid vacation up to two weeks per year, 401K, five paid holidays, and medical, dental and vision insurance.
