JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job ID: 20624 ATTENTION: The College of Integrated Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Rock County Campus is seeking a Student Support Services and Learning Support Center Director (Academic Program Director (B), AE127). JOB DETAILS: The UW-Whitewater, Rock County campus is seeking a student development focused director with experience in PSE educational services, the ability to lead with humor, and innovative approach to student success. The Director of Student Support Services and the Learning Support Center oversees the federal TRIO Student Support Services program and the Learning Support Center, which is closely tied to TRIO-SSS services, on the UW-Whitewater, Rock County campus. This includes being responsible for supervision, training, and evaluation of staff; program development, fiscal management, and development of program budgets; oversight of student eligibility and service data; oversight of preparation and submittal of federal and state annul program reports and proposals for grants. The Director directly supervises approximately eight FTE, as well as additional student staff. This position reports to the Dean of the College of Integrated Studies (LSC) and the Executive Director of TRIO & Educational Opportunity Programs (TRIO-SSS). This is a 100% FTE, annual appointment. Responsibilities: Student Support Services: Supervision Supervise FTE staff; providing direction and support Coordinate hiring and training of student staff Fiscal Management Maintain grant and applicable state budgets as assigned Oversee the scholarship disbursal process of the SSS student grant aid program in collaboration with the Financial Aid Office Strategic Planning, Policy, and Implementation Establish goals and objectives for the SSS program with both formative and summative evaluation plans Establish recruitment procedures and goals annually Curricular/Program Development and Implementation Coordinate professional advising and academic coaching services to project students Connect students with sources of financial aid, including project and campus scholarships Evaluation and Reporting Review all SSS student applications for approval during each academic year; determine and document eligibility Complete all internal and external reports as requested by individual program contacts, US Department of Education (ED), UW System, and/or, UWW administration Learning Support Center: Supervision Supervise staff; providing direction and support Coordinate hiring and training of student staff Fiscal Management Maintain budgets as assigned Coordinate yearly budget contracts as needs Curricular/Program Development and Implementation Direct, design, plan, administer tutorial and academic coaching activities for UWW-Rock County to promote retention and graduation of students Coordinate academic coaching services to project students This position will remain open until filled; however, the first review of applications will take place April 14th, 2024.
