Job Title: Materials Manager/ERP Implementation

Job Description

  1. Develop cross-functional business processes to align with and implement new ERP system capabilities.

  2. Utilize lean process improvement tools such as value stream mapping and transactional process improvement, as applied to material procurement and planning, to coordinate cross-functional needs and stakeholders.

  3. Gather and analyze existing data, conduct master data analysis and cleanup, and plan migration of data into new ERP system implementation.

  4. Project management and oversight of new ERP system implementation, with database support as needed from ERP vendor.

  5. Develop or oversee development of standard material planning, procurement, and financial reports utilizing industry standard report engine compatible with new ERP system.

  6. Collaborate with Finance Department to ensure ERP implementation and reports will support company project-based accounting format and provide accurate costing data.

  7. Develop documentation of processes and procedures to utilize the ERP system to provide accurate material status including receipts, storage, lot planning, work orders, material issuance, attrition, and shipment.

  8. Review and approve BOM’s, Routers, and Item Masters as created or updated to ensure material planning is optimized to the production flow.

  9. Supervise creation of lot formation plans and integration into work orders consistent with product specification and military standard ammunition lot formation requirements.

  10. Implement and supervise Point-of-Use, the person, and other inventory control techniques where applicable to simplify the material flow process.

  11. Supervise maintenance of accurate material records including cycle counts and physical inventory.

  12. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

  13. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Skills

  • 5+ years Supply Chain experience

  • Experience with various ERP systems

  • Strong material/production planning experience
