JOB REQUIREMENTS: Overview Manager of Inpatient Nursing, Pediatrics Unit - 80 hours / 2 weeks - Monday to Friday Day Shift Hours - 24/7 Accountability - This position will support the Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center campus in Janesville, WI and the Javon Bea Hospital - Riverside Campus in Rockford, IL The Manager of Nursing will have multiple areas of responsibility or multiple nursing units, or may have a complex area of focus or be involved in clinical program development and operations. This position has 24/7 accountability. The Manager will therefore must have exceptional organizational skill, and be skilled at mentoring and developing leaders. The Manager will have 24/7 accountability for the areas of responsibility. The Manager plans, organizes, and directs nursing practice for areas of responsibility and does this in accordance with the Health System\'s Mission, Vision, Values and Philosophy. The Manager ensures the total patient experience is exceptional both in the Quality of Care and in the patient perception of services as defined and measured by system dashboard goals. Interviews, selects, orientates trains, coaches and mentors and evaluates the performance of partners, providing corrective action when necessary. Performs other duties as assigned. Assures there are organized plans in place for selection of staff, evaluation of staff, orientation of new staff, continued education and development of staff, competency evaluation of staff, appropriate scheduling of staff based on patient acuity.
