Vontier Electrical Designer in Janesville, Wisconsin
We are seeking a qualified Electrical Designer to join our team in Janesville, Wisconsin. This role is essential for preparing drawings and resolving electrical and fabrication challenges while contributing to the design of modifications for existing projects.
What You Will Do
Collaborate with the Controls Manager, Project Engineer, and Project Manager to ensure design accuracy and thoroughness.
Meet project schedules and design according to applicable codes and specifications.
Utilize substantial electrical knowledge to follow engineering procedures and provide job improvement ideas.
Communicate effectively with managers, clients, and customers.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred; an associate's degree or equivalent from a technical school is required.
2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills:
Proficient in reading and interpreting business publications, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
Strong writing skills for reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Competent in mathematical concepts, including probability, geometry, and applications in real-world situations.
Familiarity with Database software, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN Design software, and other relevant software.
Other Qualifications:
Knowledge of NEC, UL, and NEMA Codes.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
