JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health is interested in a Family Medicine physician to join the new UW Health clinic in Janesville, WI. This physician faculty will provide the full spectrum of family medicine skills and patient care in the outpatient clinic. This position will be involved in clinical teaching of medical students and other learners. This position may involve academic scholarly work. The Janesville clinic will be comprised of 3-4 providers, as well as team members including a clinic manager, MA\'s, RN\'s, patient service representatives, and more. The clinic will have lab and x-ray on site, as well as potential ancillary services. The physician who joins this clinic will have the opportunity to shape the clinic from the ground up, with the potential for a leadership role as site lead. Physician faculty at this clinic will have support from UW-Madison and UW Health, as well as the opportunities that come from being employed in the academic health system. Responsibilities: Duties will include provision of clinical care of patients, clinical teaching of medical students and other learners, participation in clinical faculty call schedule (phone call only), nursing home visits, departmental meetings, and performing administrative duties as necessary in the position. Position may include optional participation in newborn rounding. This position may also include opportunities to work on collaborative initiatives within UW-SMPH & UW Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship promoting an inclusive environment with other faculty and staff members. The preferred candidate will either have experience teaching and working with diverse populations or will welcome a commitment to teaching and working with diverse populations.
