Minimum Criteria:
Hold a valid NYS teaching certificate in tenure area;
Possess a thorough knowledge in field;
Demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm and good judgment;
Demonstrate the ability to plan and organize for effective teaching and learning;
Understand the nature and needs of the age group served;
Able to develop and maintain productive human relationships;
Previous experience in working with high school age children is desirable;
Demonstrate knowledge in the areas of counseling theories and techniques, intervention strategies, crisis management and behavioral assessment.
