Cleaning Technologies Group Field Service Technician in Jamestown, New York
Job Title: Field Service Technician Department: Service Reports To: Director of Technical Service Exemption Classification: Hourly Non-Exempt Pay Range: $24.00/hour
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS to PERFORM DUTIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Repair, modify, test, and install equipment.
• Handle day-to-day administrative requests in conjunction with customer requests.
• Maintain database pertinent information regarding key customers.
• Maintain Service Department call log.
• Enter service orders in database and MRP systems while collecting all necessary information.
• Complete reporting in a timely manner as needed.
• Handle personal travel arrangements for customer visits.
• Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Education and/or Experience:
2-year technical degree in electrical or mechanical technology, or equivalent, with 2 years job-related experience in an industrial environment. Must have PLC experience and working knowledge of computers, databases, common software programs. Must be able to learn to use and adapt new software programs.
Language Skills:
Communicate verbally and/or in writing with other employees, other departments and supervision as to work in progress, problems and/or completion. Must be able to present information to groups of employees, customers, vendors etc.
Mathematical Skills:
Be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide basic numbers. Calculate percentages and perform advanced mathematical procedures. Prepare graphs and charts for presentations.
Reasoning Ability:
Be able to identify work process problems and possible solutions.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:
Driver’s license and ability to travel overseas (obtain passport, etc.)
Physical Demands:
Sit at workstation for prolonged periods of time. Must be able adjust visual focus. May be required to reach, stoop and/or bend on an as needed basis. Must be able to climb stairs as necessary. Some light lifting may be required. Travel will be necessary.
Work Environment:
Traditional office atmosphere. Temperature standard. Quiet noise level. Venture into manufacturing area on an as needed basis.
