We cannot accept cash. VACANCIES: At present three (3) vacancies exist in the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities. Results from promotional examination #76291010 also being held for this title will be used first for appointments. DUTIES: An Electrical Engineer will perform difficult professional electrical engineering work involving responsibility for the exercise of independent judgment in planning for operations in the generation, transmission and distribution of electric energy at the Board of Public Utilities. The work is performed under the direct supervision of the Transmission and Distribution Manager; assignments are received in the form of problems identified through discussion. The work is reviewed by consultation and by inspection of completed work. Supervision is exercised over the work of subordinate engineering personnel. Does related work as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered four-year college or university with a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and two years of full-time paid experience in Electrical Engineering work. EDUCATION/AGE REQUIREMENT: Candidates who will meet education/age requirements within 12 months of the exam date, will be permitted to take the examination but will not be eligible for canvassing or permanent appointment until proof of fulfilling the education/age requirements have been furnished to this office. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to provide all necessary transcripts for required education and a copy of the required license or professional certificate upon completion.
