Perform a variety of security duties to ensure the safety and security of the inmates, staff and Stutsman County Correctional Center (SCCC). Duties include, but are not limited to: Respond to emergent situations in the jail, provide medical assistance including CPR. Process incoming arrestees and perform interviews to obtain medical history, criminal history, jail classification, and complete fingerprinting. Conduct searches of inmate's cell, body (Clothed and unclothed), property, and facility common areas to control contraband. Supervise daily activities of inmates to include: Feeding and general care, discipline, medical needs, and cleaning of cell blocks and jail facility by inmates. Monitor video cameras inside and outside of the jail facility. Conduct inmate counts at designated times to ensure security and early detection of escapees. Complete verbal and written reports to supervisors regarding inmate behavior, rule violations, work and repair orders, security issues, and transportation of inmates. Other duties as assigned.

This position requires a minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 or older. Must be able to pass a background check in accordance to Federal, State, and Local requirements.

Schedule Varies and includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays. $23.59/hr
