Amazon Startup Account Manager, Indonesia in Jakarta, Indonesia

Join the dynamic AWS ASEAN startup team and work directly with the top startups and venture capitalists (VC) in the region. You will spend your days interfacing with global startup organization leadership teams, and navigating cross-AWS and Amazon to enable startups to realize outsized success. The team’s comprised of a rare group of high-caliber founders, investors and startup operators with deep ecosystem network, working within Amazon to drive AWS strategy and support the next generation of startup entrepreneurs.

AWS Startup Account Manager is responsible for driving adoption, growth and revenue from the largest and fastest growing startups in Indonesia. These startups leverage cutting edge technology and innovate on behalf of the end users. The AWS Account manager is responsible for deep engagement with top startups in Indonesia, to run virtually everything in the cloud, including mobile applications, big data analytics, AI/ML platforms, and microservices/serverless infrastructures.

Key job responsibilities

The candidate should have technical background that enables the individual to drive engagement at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects. The candidate should be an exceptional analytical thinker who thrives in fast-paced dynamic environments and has excellent communication and presentation skills. The candidate should be visioning and executing via collaboration with an extended team to address all startup’s needs.

Key job responsibilities

  • Ensure customer success with all stage of startups in Indonesia

  • Drive growth and market share in a defined territory

  • Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan.

  • Accelerate customer adoption by engaging Founders, CXO, Board of Directors and VC influencers

  • Work with AWS partners to manage joint selling opportunities

  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.

Basic Qualifications

  • 12+ years of technology experience with a focus on sales (quota-carrying) with a Proven track record and quota attainment

  • Deep understanding of Indonesia market, culture nuances and local network

  • Experience in working with Startups in identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology deals.

  • Experience in proactively growing customer relationships within an account while expanding their understanding of the customer’s business / Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Functioned in an environment where they managed an account list in technology which included large growth in net new opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS/B.Tech degree required. Masters or MBA is a plus.

  • Understanding of AWS and/or technology as a service (Iaas,SaaS,PaaS) is preferred.
