The Securities & Derivatives Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Process securities transactions for withholding tax, provide analytic input and aid in review of derivative products

• Identify and resolve withholding tax of securities and derivative issues, and make process improvement recommendations to leadership

• Collaborate and build strong internal relationships within Securities Services Operation Tax team and across other team

• Participate and assist on enhancement project to reduce manual touch point

• Assist in preparing tax payment and reporting in timely manner

• Support tax reconciliation, identifying operational risk, trade confirmation and settlement forecasts

• Assist in preparing regulatory reporting

• Assist in preparing domestic reporting, CRS, and US Taxation

• Resolve complex problems utilizing data analysis tools and methodologies and recommendations to leadership to improve processes

• Monitor and suggest solutions to errors to minimize risk to the bank, through an intermediate knowledge of procedural requirements

• Ensure processes adhere to audit and control policies

• Manage, escalate and resolve all requests / inquiries / issues / errors and identify policy gaps and formulate policies to streamline processes

• Provide informal guidance and/or on-the-job-training to new team members

• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience in a related role

• Relevant Degree or equivalent experience

• Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance
