Adecco Staffing is working with a company in the Monadnock Region to bring on a credit analyst This is full time position and will be IN OFFICE, 5 days a week. This position could be temp to hire or direct hire depending on the experience of the applicant.

Position : Credit Analyst

Hours : 8:00am - 5:00pm (ONSITE)

Pay : $34-$37 an hour

Job Overview:

Responsible for evaluating creditworthiness of new and existing customers, ensuring the timely collection of payment against invoices, and advising leadership of credit risk as necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets financial data to forecast business trends in support of the company's financial goals.

  • Translates credit and accounts receivable data into insights to support leaders in decision-making.

  • Prepares timely reporting and recommendations for areas of improvement, immediately reporting potential business risks to leadership.

  • Seek continuous improvement through value-added projects and reengineering current business processes. Collaborate with business and IT partners to gather requirements and implement technology solutions, often serving as a liaison between teams.

  • Act as a partner to customers to build relationships and improve communication, invoice collection, and provide responses to customer requests in a timely and professional manner.

  • Research and report on escalated issues as assigned by leadership. Investigate, analyze, and adjust, when necessary, customer 'debits' and/or short payments. Request Proof of Delivery (POD) statements as needed to assist in obtaining customer payment. Apply customer funds daily.

  • Review new customer set-up requests, investigate credit worthiness through D&B and bank & trade references, and analyze and establish appropriate terms for sale. Review and process Credit Memo and Special Billing requests. Support invoicing as needed.

  • Review existing customer credit lines on a periodic basis or as needed based on account activity (sales order backlog, shipment schedules, payment history, etc.) to ensure sufficient credit. Make collection (request for payment) and payment reminder telephone calls with a systematic approach for follow-up.

  • Assist with new hire onboarding and engage in continuous development to grow knowledge and skills.

Job Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial statement analysis

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professionalism

  • Ability to work in a team-based environment and interact cooperatively with internal and external customers.

  • Reporting and Analytical Skills

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting

  • Minimum of four (4) years' credit experience for a medium or large size company.

Pay Details: $34.00 to $37.00 per hour
