Onslow Memorial Hospital Pharmacy Technician in Jacksonville, North Carolina
Pharmacy technicians work under direct and immediate supervision of a registered pharmacist. Assists pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of medications and I.V. admixture, maintenance of drug inventory and patient records, preparation of antineoplastic agents for patients of: infants (0-1 year), pediatric (1-12 years), adolescence (13-18 years), adult (19-69 years), geriatric (>70 years) and other hospital departments for optimal patient care. QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or equivalent education
Eligible for registration with NC Board of Pharmacy
Certification by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred or be able to be certified within 12 months of employment.
Minimum of one years’ experience in hospital pharmacy or two years in retail pharmacy.
Proficient with typing/computer keyboard.
